Support Ukrainian teachers to Make Education Not War
The children of war deserve a brighter future. Through the trauma and terror of conflict, dedicated teachers in Ukraine are continuing to educate and support their pupils
The Make Education Not War project gives Ukrainian teachers:
- practical support
- trauma support
The needs of the teachers in Ukraine:
- TRAUMA SUPPORT: teachers need trauma support for themselves and to enable them to support their pupils.
- PEDAGOGICAL SUPPORT: teachers support each other while developing and practising new content and methods.
- TABLETS or COMPUTERS with the right software, chargers and connectivity to enable remote teaching.
- SATURDAY SCHOOLS: for displaced young people, many of whom are enrolled in schools in a different country, to provide support delivered in Ukrainian on important topics such as integration into a new community and maintaining their cultural connection.
